#lowercase

you'll notice that everything here is lowercase. i decided to remove the caps lock and shift keys from my writing workflow.

i find it to be good for my mental health and the visual continuity is a beautiful thing.

there are cases where an occasional uppercase letter is necessary like when a coding language requires it, or for acronyms. i often still feel social pressure to use caps as well. hopefully we can see that change in time. after we all convert, maybe we can use the caps lock key for fun sound effects.

update: (may 2nd, 2026) for a test, i converted my caps lock key into a 2nd enter key, and it's fantastic.
